MESA Program Eligibility
Declared or intended STEM majors/minors:
Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Geology/Earth and Environmental Sciences, Mathematics & Statistics, Physics/Astrophysics/Physical Science
***We are currently unable to support Kinesiology and Pre-Nursing/Nursing majors at this time. We hope to in the future!
AND One of the following:
1. First generation college student or first in your family to study STEM
2. Receive Pell Grant and/or Cal Grant (need based financial aid)
3. LGBTQIA+
4. Students in CAASE. This includes: Disability Services for Students (DSS), DREAM Center, Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), Military and Veteran Resource Center (MAVRC), Seawolf Scholars, TRIO SSS-MAP/U4S.
5. Past participation in a MESA program. Either K-12 college prep MESA program, MESA community college program or MESA university program. For example, local community college students from SRJC's MESA program are automatically accepted, provided they pursue an eligible STEM major and/or minor.
