Sonoma State is proud to continue strengthening and expanding its programs on the Sonoma State University campus and in the wider educational community.
Engineering students mentored by Dr. Nansong Wu, Assistant Professor of Engineering Science, were awarded first place honors at both the 2020 IEEE SusTech Conference Student Poster Contest and the 2020 CSU Student Research Competition.

The CSU Trustees’ Award is given each year to one student from each CSU campus who demonstrate superior academic performance, personal accomplishments, community service and financial need. It is the CSU’s highest recognition of student achievement.
Undergraduates presented their research projects on April 30, 2019 at the 7th Annual Science Symposium in the Student Center Ballroom. Over 25 judges evaluated the 192 posters and 377 student presenters with top awards going to:

On April 25, 2019, cross-disciplinary student teams presented their product pitches at the inaugural Seawolf Pitch Competition.
Jazmyne Gill, a biology graduate student in Dr. Mackenzie Zippay’s lab, has been awarded the 2019-2020 American Association of University Women Career Development Grant.
